How does matchmaking work?
You will not see a swipe stack or a search. Yenta, our human matchmaker, hand-picks one potential match at a time. When she finds someone she thinks fits, you both receive a pitch. If you both say yes, you are matched and a chat opens. If either side passes, neither person ever knows it was a match.

How do I delete my account?
Open the Profile tab, tap Edit Profile, and scroll to the bottom for the Delete Account option. Deletion is immediate inside the app and your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel any active App Store subscription. Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

How do subscriptions work?
Free members are on the list and may be pitched if a great fit comes along. Paid tiers move you up Yenta's priority queue:

  • Schmoozer ($18 / month) — Yenta is actively looking for matches for you. Priority over free members.
  • Chief Schmoozer ($88 / month) — Top priority. Direct chat with Yenta, kickoff call and monthly check-ins, plus one free Crush Reachout per month.
  • Crush Reachout ($8) — A one-time purchase for paid members to ask Yenta to reach out to a specific person on your behalf.

All subscriptions are billed monthly through your Apple Account and renew automatically until canceled. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

I was charged but my subscription is not active.
Open the app, go to Profile, and tap Restore Purchases. If that does not resolve it, email support@shmz.app with the email on your SHMZ account and the date of the charge.

How do I report or block someone?
Open the match or chat, tap the menu in the top right, and choose Report or Block. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Blocking ends the active match and prevents you from being paired with that person again.

I lost access to my email.
SHMZ uses email-based one-time codes to sign in. If you no longer have access to the email on your account, contact support@shmz.app from a verifiable address and we will help you recover or close the account.
