SHMZ ("Schmooze") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Account info: Email address, name, date of birth, photos, and Instagram handle.
Profile info: Your preferences, background, and any details you share during onboarding.
Usage data: How you interact with the app, device type, and general location (city level).
We use your information to facilitate matchmaking, improve the app, and communicate with you about your account and matches. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Your profile is only visible to the SHMZ matchmaking team and to users you are matched with. Your profile is never publicly listed or searchable.
Photos you upload are stored securely and only used within the app. We compress images for performance but do not share them externally.
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days.
We use encryption in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized team members only.
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account at any time. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.
We may update this policy as needed. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
